AntmanGTs 2000 GS300 2JZGTE Build
Hey CL,
Ive been on Club Lexus since 2012, and I have been around just reading and lurking regularly but I never posted too much. This is my second attempt on a GS build as the one with my 1993 GS300 just wasnt the best starting point for too many reasons, so the project flopped.
I have a twin turbo motor that has a VVTI, so the 2GS is a much better home for it than my 1GS. Im currently looking for a cheap 1GS daily to replace the one I have now. Its just honestly seen better days.......
Anyways, its a plaitinum edition with 190,000 miles on the body, and a decent interior for its age. Heres a few pics I have on hand.
P.S. If you are in Atlanta, PLEASE hit me up, im trying to get to know some of the local turbo guys and 2GS guys as this is my first turbo project and honestly i just need to get out more

Well Big Bertha is always down for a road trip....Ive never seen a turbo gs3. How does it do as a daily? And is it quick with no mods?

It's perfect as a daily still a smooth driving reliable car. . It's a blast in stock form but you know its potential so you will want more . But you can always just do BPU's and get right around 400-420 hp and be more than satisfied

400 is more than fine for now. To get is running is enough for me lol.
So far, I have found a company just north of Atlanta in Norcross that will rebuild my driveshaft to bolt up to the GTE trans for pretty cheap and they are reputable, I have also found a Aristo fuel pump to solve my worries about the return fuel line, and have the aristo ecu that came with the engine so thats cool.
I already have a intercooler but I also need to order a downpipe and piping kit, and I believe that I also need a throttle cable from the MKIV Supra which driftmotion has for sale. (I think that I heard somewhere that a camry throttle cable will work also but I could be wrong....)
How am I gonna pass smog/emissions? Is there anything I am forgetting that is essential to getting the car to run and drive? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
For right now, I dunno.......

part# for your cable is 78180-1B090 which I believe is the same as the camry .
When you say you have a intercooler you have the factory side mount or a aftermarket front mount?
In my area I don't have smog/emissions so i don't have that to worry about.
When you got the aristo ECU did you get the grey and orange plug with it? If not you will have to repin them to make it work . Also you need to tap into your tach wire. Cant remember exactly where it needs to run but I'm sure all of this I'm bringing up is in the many threads in this forum covering he GTE swap.

So after some inconsistent battles with the weather, I finally got the engine and tranny out the car. Now its time for me to run the fuel return line. I was thinking about just modifying the stock pump, but was wondering if I just need to remove the in tank return line and drill a hole for a new bulk head fitting, or is there more to it?

I finally got it. Had to jack the transmission up and do the balancing act to get it, but the mounts are in!

Starter Fitment
Do you know why the 2jzge starter wont fit? I thought that the starters are interchangeable. The starter hits the pressure tank.
