JY Racing - Johnchi's - SC300 build.
 

Hi All,

I own an IS250 and Bought a 92 sc300 with 74K on the clock.
Clean chassis which was the most important thing as this was intended initially to be a fast street car and to compete with it in autox and amateur drift events.
Plans have changed though.
After 16yrs of managing in the IT industry I said I had enough and started a local shop named JY Racing ltd.
We have been able to secure dealerships from Cusco, Endless, Greddy, Ikeya Formula and many more.
With that me and partner decided the SC will be a dedicated drift and track car to compete here.
I have taken 2nd and 3rd places in overall standing in the past few year in autox and drift events with my Nissan s14 competing in open class so I know what i am doing :thumbup:.

With our sponsors we are building the SC with the following:

2JZ-GTE supra jdm engine. - Have it.
Cusco - Street Zero A (supra spec) coilovers. - Leaving JP in a week
Converting rear sub frame to supra one. - Leaving JP in a week
Alloy busshings wherever available.
Cusco Differential. - Leaving JP in a week
Cusco (supra) sway bars.
Cusco / Safety21 cage. - Leaving JP in a week
Greddy Turbo kit. - good for 700hp on pump 93. - Leaving JP in a week
Greddy intercooler and intake manifold. - Leaving JP in a week
Drop in 800cc sard injectors. - Leaving JP in a week
R154 transmission - 6 speed coming later. - Have it.
ORC triple plate clutch.- Have it.
Endless custom brake kit - coming soon, - In design stage and will be finalized when we give more input after initial shakedown.
Almost finished the ISF front and rear caliper adaptor plates to run ISF sized rotors - Just need to finalize rear bracket.
Endless MX72 pads and CCA pads. Leaving JP in a week
Plastic4performance side and rear Lexan replacement windows. - ordering in a week or so.
Origin Body Kit. - Leaving JP in a week
Wide body fr and rr
CF or FR hood , Doors and trunk - still undecided .
And much much more.
Attached initial concept sketch I made - dont be too harsh on me, I am no photoshop wiz :-)
I have attached picture of the base car - being washed after 2 years of sitting in a shed.
Also work in progress on ISF caliper and rotor fitment.

I will post progress info and pics. Its holiday season around here so real progress only at begining of next month.

Hi, soon. Most parts except those listed as here are leaving japan in the next week.
As soon as parts start coming in i will post pics. The engine swap will wait until i get all the greddy and tomei goodies on and in the engine.

Hi, sorry for the delay;)
Well, finally, after a month and half months, some items on the list had to be manufactured parts started to arrive. This contains coilovers, sway bars Tomei cams and gears, turbo kit, intercooler kits and more.
Cusco cage, all body parts including frp doors, hood and wide fenders are due to arrive in a couple of weeks. Why cant see freight be faster:mad: ;)
I will starts posting pics in the next couple of days when we start opening the boxes.
Time to get this started - Finally.

I believe the other container should be coming in two weeks with all our body parts, exhaust etc.
Parts need to come in from battle version, Ikeya Formula and more. its a long list.:thumbup:

Well after a long delay the body parts have arrived.
FRP doors - they are so light compared to stock!
FRP hood
Origin Body Kit and wide front fenders.
Now just waiting for tubo kit and couple more stuff that should arrive in a few days, on the plane from japan :D

Then this can really start progressing.

More parts came in.
Lexan windows from plastic4performance. under 9lb for the rear window.
Also got the abs delete lines mention in skid racings build - thanks for the info!
and just for kicks got a gps based speedo with company name on it.- wont really look much at it but it was just for fun anyway.

Well after a very loong delay - Another baby boy in the house :D Its time to get back to work.
The engine and trans are out .
Installed Cusco MZ 1.5/2way Diff.
And now getting the sub frame and diff bushings on.
Next is taking care of stuff on the GTE engine, new harness, fuel rail and injectors - sard , Fuel pressure regulator, an fittings, pulleys etc..
Just got work wheels dealership for Israel so getting couple of sets for the car also - Meister s1 3p and Emotion CR kiwami.
