Hely guys! I
I am currently in the process of totaling out my sc400 and plan to pick up a 5sp 300 on Monday.
I was browsing Craigslist the other day and came across a 2jzge for $60, so I pretty much had to go get it haha.
I wasn't originally going to start my build until later down the road but since I found this cheap engine I figured I could build this on the side and minimalize down time.

Here's the engine!
I paid $60 for it, it came with the harness, manifolds, even the damn alternator haha
And there not one thing wrong with it!

My plans are to just refresh it and make it better than new.
That means ARP everything, gte hg, acl bearings, a good hone and MAYBE do a little work to the head.
Over all plans are to single it and swap it, along with my r154, into the sc.
I think this will be a relatively slow build, but we will see.

Nothing wrong with that buy... Did you do a compression test? I am curious to see what it was before you decided to tear it down. Good luck on your build.

no I didn't, I was planning on new rings anyway so I didn't even bother, but the rings on it looked good, and the cylinder walls are perfect with no scars.
