in other news.. received some parts from Driftmotion. Modified Manifold and DP. The only thing im concerned about is the sticker on the DP says for 2jzge.. So im hoping they just labeled it wrong and they sent me the correct one also hoping they sent me the right manifold as well. Waiting to hear back from them. The manifold looks pretty good with nice welds and sturdy.
still waiting on a few more parts to come in and also should be hearing back from machine shop about the head.

^^thanks man.. Im hoping everything is right. Ive been waiting a month to get these parts and would hate to have to wait any longer if i have to send these back.
More goodies came in Aeromotive FPR and Walboro 400lp Fuel Pump.. weather for this weekend is suppose to be nice so hopefully i can start putting motor back together.
Yea i got it from DM haha. As far as turbo i went with a smaller turbo I went with the BW SX256. I wanted a turbo that didnt take forever to spool since its going to be a street car. Did some research and with help from fellow members figure this turbo would be best for what im looking for. Im only looking for 400-450hp.

As soon as you have 400-450 ull want moar guaranteed lol.
My understanding is the 6262 is full boost around 4, so I tried finding a BW that put me in the same wheelhouse.
I was making around 400 with my IS and i was pretty happy. At times it did feel slow and boring but i was still happy when that turbo started spooling haha. I got some time tonight to work on the motor a little. I was nervous taking the oil pan off because i didnt know what to expect. But i was shocked because it was pretty clean.
Cleaned up the oil pan and reinstalled
1j and RB parts all over the garage haha.
Tomorrow since the weather will still be nice. I plan on cleaning the block fully and then start to install all the new parts like water pump, tensioner, front and rear main seals and a few other things. STill waiting on the head to get back from machine shop. Hopefully it will be ready sometime next week.
I ended up taking the head to Bison Machine Shop In Wall/Farmingdale. It was closer to my house and a few people recommended me to them. So today we pretty nice out and did a few things to the block and also took my winter wheels off and put the summers back on.
Got the head back from the machine shop today.. Looks pretty good. Was going to start putting together the motor but threw out my back,. So now im laid up with a heating pad. Hopefully i feel better tomorrow so i can start putting this motor back together finally,.
Head resurfaced
Valve steam seals replaced
valved relashed
head cleaned
Very nice progress... I might have to check out your guys out for my heads... I have smoke @ first startup if she sits over a few days. Which she does being a weekend warrior. Nice choice on the turbo. I think you will be happy with the spool for sure.
Thanks man.. Build is slowly coming together and looking at everybody build threads and watching 1j sc vids on youtube makes me want to finish this asap haha. Thanks for the recommendation on the turbo as well. Im sure it will be exactly what im looking for. Was thinking about picking up some BC 264 cams but will probably hold off on that for now. Get a feel for how the motor is without cams and then later get them.
