Pic 1 shows the bracket I made to manually tighten the drive belt. It is simply an L-bracket in which I drilled and tapped a hole to accept a 12mm bolt. The bolt goes through it and pushes on the tensioner and the nut locks it in place.

Pic 2 shows the smooth idler installed in place of the stock ribbed idler for the drive belt. The belt runs on the bottom side of this idler.

Pic 3 shows the t-fitting used to get oil pressure to the supercharger, purchased from Lextreme.

Pic 4 shows where I installed the drain for the supercharger. I removed the oil level sending unit and made a plate to fit. Installed a pipe fitting in the plate to accept the drain hose.

More pics to come later/

On a side note, I'm going to need to take the intake cams out of the 96 motor and install them into the 95 as the lift and duration were changed a bit for the better in 96.

Also the balancer and timing gear pulleys are supposed to be lighter weight.

So I have decided that I need a new L/R strut. The car is sitting allot lower at that corner and the strut came from the green car that was hit on the left rear.

The upper control arm was broken, the lower control arm twisted, the trac rod was bent and the sway bar bracket was bent so it seems safe to assume the the strut could be bent and causing the bit of sag on that corner of the red car.

Ordered a strut so hopefully I am right.

Installed the LSD diff today.

Also ordered an IS300 steering wheel which I plan to make work with the suprastick.

Not much new to report..but here it goes....

USPS shows my strut arriving on the 26th, yesterday technically, but I have no strut. Was planning on going into work (my day off) and replacing the LR and doing another alignment.

I bought a universal a pillar double gauge holder, made fit and added a gauge holder I already had. So I will have a boost / vac gauge, AEM AFR reading (left side of motor) and an Innovate AFR reading (right side of motor). Haven't quite finished wiring it all in yet.

My tail light indicator light was staying on, on the dash, replaced all of the bulbs in the rear. 8 168 bulbs and 8 1156 bulbs.

Thats it for now, progress will be slow until late next week. Then the motor swap will commence.

KC, you have done alot of work since the last I checked the thread. It is coming along nicley, and quite fast I might add. I was glad to see you stick it out and decide to continue the Pursuit of Happiness, and keep the Lexus.

Not sure what it is from but yes it is molded on, somewhat poorly. Needs some touch up.

Would be awesome to make it functional.

Gauges installed and strut fixed.

The picture doesn't really show how bad the strut is. The rod is bent and the housing also looks a bit bent. Some cracking on the top where the rod goes in as well. Car still seems a little crooked, not really sure why but it is way better.

6 days till I hopefully start the motor swap.

Got my IS300 steering wheel today, doesn't look like it will be to hard to make work with the SC400 and the Suprastick.

Also, seriously considering this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400338680765?item=400338680765&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

So far, so good. I love boosted V8s and I am trying to do all the research I can. I picked up a Harrop HTV1900 SC and plan on installing it soon. I can't wait!! There's a lot of tuning prep that i need to do first though.

Keep up the good work!

Got the IS300 steering wheel in and working. No cruise control but the horn and shift buttons work. Also no airbag light. Temporarily wired in the suprastick cause I had to try it and it works pretty good. My tq converter is not locking so need to investigate that.

Thursday will start the motor swap along with a few other things!

Crappy video but the wheel works.

Edit: Apparently you can't actually upload videos? It acted like it worked. I'll have to post it on YouTube later.

Got a long way to go but the process has started.

Got the car jacked up. Removed the exhaust and driveshaft. Coolant drained.

I got up way to early this morning and worked 10 hours so I think that is all I have in me for tonight. I have to work Friday but have tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off. Should be plenty of time to get er done.

What I have been up to pics.

Hope to pull the stock motor out of the red car tonight or first thing in the morning. Then I need to remove the TRAC and ABS, re locate the fuse box and clean the engine bay, Then my built motor in. Before I can do that I am changing the front seat skins and I need to finish re assembling the interior.
