Default 98 Gs 400 mutor upgrde options

I recently bought a 98 Gs 400, I am weighing my options on upgrading the current motor 1UZ-FE or swapping for a 2JZ-GTE. This car will be a daily driver. Looking to get some performance out of the upgrades but going for more of a VIP look. Its been a few years since I have been in the car scene but would like some suggestions on a motor set up that will sound good at the same time. I would only want to max out around 400 hp. Also does anyone have a insight on a good air ride set up that will be reliable. I live in Cincinnati so anyone know of a good place that dose great work on motors.
Thanks,

Current V8-
Supercharge or Twin Turbo. Their were kits available for both years ago. They are pretty rare and come up for sale now and then. (was one TT kit on ebay a week or two ago).

If shooting for 400whp. I would:
-See what kind of budget you have in mind.
-Get another beater while this is being preformed.

If on a budget, I'd keep the V8, do required maintenance work. Intake, Headers, hi flow cats, deleted resonators and exhaust of choice.

Proper suspension and lightweight wheels will make the car nimble and exhaust & intake mods will wake up the car.

If no budget, I would hunt for a SC kit, purchase it , tune, and enjoy the 350 RWHP.

^ well said. i agree. i would love another 100hp but with over 200,000 miles i cant justify the amount of money it would take to do it right

Im new too with the GS but not boosted or modded cars. Recently sold my 97TT Supra. I think you'll be happy with the SRT intake, cams(which will set you back 1k) stall converter of 2,800, suspension work, lighter wheels and full exhaust(headers, mid, and mufflers) that should put your around the mid 300hp range but youll be spending around 3-5k to get there, but will still be reliable. Look, sound and perform nice.

Stick with the V8 and do intake, exhaust, headers, and tune. You won't quite hit 400hp but you'll be close and it will be plenty of power for daily driving. Even stock is plenty IMO.

As far as air suspenion goes, go with Airrunner air suspension. Doesn't get much more reliable than that.
