Default 95 SC400 3UZ-FE Swap

Last summer I picked up a low mileage SC400 with a blown head gasket. While I had the engine out, I was overcome with the desire to put a 4.3 back in. After 6 months of scrounging parts, it's in and running. I still need to find an airbox from a 4.3 GS or SC and a gated 5 speed shifter and cluster from a 98-00 SC400, but beyond that, it runs great.

I do have some pics, but I still need to crop most of them. The engine is from a 2001 GS430 w/68k miles. I'll get some pics posted when I get some free time.

I have the factory airbox out of my gs430 when I swapped it out with an SRT intake. I was keeping it in storage just in case, but I will sell it for the right price. PM me if you are interested. It's mint.

Spdrcr or something like that username did it back in '11. He said the block is exactly the same. Lets see some pics!

I built a custom harness to extend appropriate cabin signals to the GS's underhood ECU. Sounds way easier than it was. The one difference on the engine block is where the rear of the ps pump mounts to the block. Pretty much everything else was wiring and immobilizer.

Nice swap, I bet it packs a bit more punch than the 1uz. Welcome to CL.
