Tell me about it.

Oh well, its allowing me to keep looking at different things and decide what to do.

Bought some 1000cc injectors
Got 2 aeromotive 340lph pumps to run in tank
got an aeromotive regulator.

Most likely gonna mod a stock fuel rail to accept AN fittings and run like that.

Still gotta order a braille battery. I decided I dont really wanna move the battery to the trunk.

Doing a few jobs in the coming weeks that will help me buy a few of the manual swap parts. Hopefully side work keeps up a good pace and thatll help me afford it. I only work part time, so buying all that I have has been a bit of a luxury. LOL

Got a new oil pump and a new timing belt (the fancy blue one) coming.

Figured Omar swears by it and I have had decent oil leaks for awhile, so might as well.

Most likely gonna reroute the battery to the trunk, its cheaper. Ill at least get the engine torn down and put back together with all the good stuff.

I cant wait, its already getting warm again.

I live in Houston and its not that cold compare to a lot of people, but cold enough where I don't wanna work on my car. Looks like you got a lot of nice parts getting ready to go into your car. Can't wait to see the finished pictures.

4" Single sided sounds mean on JZ engines! Specially straight 4" no muffler lol!

Thats exactly what it is, 4 inch downpipe to 4 inch stainless all the way back. Just need to get it welded in a few spots.

Gonna have 2 fuel pumps running so thatll make some noise too. Kinda wanted to get cams, but I dont have the patience to degree em. Sure that would have made the exhaust sound a little better.

Heres some pics...

The teardown commenced

After a few hours of messing around...

test fit to see what needs to be moved

This was the end of day one Headstuds in

This was near the end of day two TT hg, GTE valvecovers, ps relocation

End of day 2

This is how it sits now...

Drove this all week thanks to Stevinson Lexus... altho its because my other Lexus has been in the shop getting things done too.

Waiting on my exhaust manifold to get re welded to clear the 4 inch downpipe, have to finsih up a little bit of wiring and run the intercooler piping... gonna lose nearly 3 feet of pipe so that should help a lot. Still need to get a battery, havent pulled the trigger on that yet...

Should be running on open downpipe by the weekend, then I will try to get the exhaust welded in, hard parts are mostly done. My buddy Nick helps (and has actually done alot of the hard parts. LOL)

How did you clean the block and head of the old headgasket before you put the new one in?

Oh ok. I use to do sheet metal for airplanes so I have to the tools. I didn't know if I should do it that way because I'm afraid the block and head won't be truly straight.

just be aware to not remove any metal, but you wont do much to it anyway. Ive done it for years with no problems.
