Looking good! I'm so jealous.....love Flint Mica. Haha, kind of good though because I also did a black roof and accents on my front and rear kit, with shaved emblems. Lol, thank god my car is Silver. Haha, I even had SC3's on my UL at one time too.

 

Do you really need to do all that bodywork after removing the emblems? I thought they were just glued to the trunk??

 

No, there are a few holes when you remove the emblems

 

I think 2 holes behind the "Lexus" and 3 holes behind the "LS430"

 

The black roof looks really nice. Good choice on going with the gloss black.

Actually you have a UCF31, not because you have air suspension, but because your car is an '04. The chasis code has nothing to do with the fact you do or do not have a UL (air suspension).

Lexus has before MC and after MC models, which is usually the first 3 years of the model/chassis and the second 3 years of the model/chassis.

01-03 Lexus LS430s are UCF30 ~before MC (minor change)
04-06 Lexus LS430s are UCF31 ~after MC (minor change)

For example...
89-92 Lexus LS400 UCF10
92-94 Lexus LS400 UCF11

94-97 Lexus LS400 UCF20
98-00 Lexus LS400 UCF21

06-09 Lexus LS460 USF40
09-12 Lexus LS460 USF41

 

Finally got the car back! Had the mouth of the bumper painted gloss black, shaved trunk emblems, fiberglass repaired the front and rear bumper and resprayed the hood.

Also replaced the chrome molding on the bumpers. Need to buy more so I can replace the ones on my window visors.

 

Actually, Chrispy is right that UL cars -all from 01-06- are UCF31. This issue has been discussed repeatedly on the forum so this is probably beating on a dead horse. Nice car Vincent and looking forward to future mods.

 

Well if its been debated, I guess I can't argue there. That's just my understanding of it.

I called lexus and they wanted $100 per bumper.. I got 1 roll for $15 and did both the front + rear with leftover material
