Im glad to see your returning it to stock. I see that you mentioned something about one of the headlight lenses being cracked. *not trying to advertise* there is a thread open on custom clear replacement lenses... you could keep the highs you have then replace the low beam lenses. Beautiful car. Also if you want some tails that are "factory" but look newer, for cheap, you can take the inner part of the 92 tails and put on the lenses and harnesses from your current lights. that way they will be red/clear. Good luck.

The Factory right taillight is cracked. None of the "ebay" lights are cracked however the LED headlights are the dimmest headlights I have ever seen. If that is not electrical, I want them off the car as soon as I pick up my stock headlights from storage or find a better (cheap) idea. I also have the fog lights in storage.
It's funny, when I got the car I just dumped the stock parts into my storage space like junk and didn't even take notice of the condition. Two weeks of reading/learning here and I am actually going to take the 25 minute drive to storage just to REALLY have a look at them and check the condition.
After purchase of the car, I happily drove off without the stock bumper because there was no room in the car, I cant wait to rent a truck, drive back to Boston and pickup the stock bumper and 430 wheels.
Thanks for the education guys,
SG

I think we're all glad you're going to put back on your stock parts. As far as the taillight being cracked...you could always pick up some "stockers" in the classifieds. There's probably several members that will sell off their stockers in a heart beat? lol...if you're able to sell off whatever parts you can, and turn a few bucks! You never know what someone would buy off you? Either way, GL and keep us posted!

Progress Report!
Greetings,
OK....... spending time here has refined my tastes enough to understand how unfortunate the wheel, light and kit choices of the previous owner were. I was so happy to have a super clean SC with low mileage a really did not notice how much better it could look closer to stock.
I immediately took 2 months to get the car mechanically/functionally sound (I think I am there). She is running GREAT, EVERYTHING works nicely. My few issues have been sorted and I cant find anything else to fix.
(i just got 24 MPG on a trip to PA, is that normal???)
Now as money replenishes I will start to address the Visual presentation.
(Tiny upgrade, but bright blue LED lighting in the interior looks AWESOME.)
1) I have 97+ sides coming in 2 weeks.
2) I have the stock bumper arriving tomorrow and it is going on the car when I put the sides on. I am now seeking a front lip.
3) i purchased 5 stock , SC430 wheels with the stock Blizzak MZ-03 RFL tires.. They are the centers that are kind of like the pies (hit with a spatula a bit). They looked shiny in the center in the pics. I will see them tomorrow. They will be my winter setup. They are pictured below.
4) I am also purchasing the used Work wheels also pictured below..
The plan is My stock 95' nose with a lip. The 97 sides. Stock 95 lighting. I will drop it as much as is reasonable in NYC.
a) What do you guys think or these wheels for my car?
b) Bright blue lug nuts?
c) I kind of have grown to love the reflectivity of the (ugly) chromes currently on the car. Id love this wheel (the Work) polished on the face. That's not practically possible is it?
Does anyone know the series/name of these older Work wheels?
New pics up soon!!

Mechanically Sound! Wheels Next!
This is sort of a slow, low budget version of a build thread now.
--------------------------
The car is running GREAT now to fix the ugly!
(YES! THE SIDES ARE GOING JUST AS SOON AS I FIND AN APPROPRIATE PLACE TO BURN THEM)
Wheels first:
You gents will be relieved to know the ugly chrome wheels were sold today to someone who does not own a Lexus. You will likely never see them again unless you join a Hyundai forum.
REJOICE!
I got 5-SC430 wheels with Blizzak MZ-03 tires today and a set of pre-owned JDM Work wheels today.
They may look like 9 dirty, old wheels to some of you, but they look like STRAIGHT UP LOVE to me. I cant wait!
Lets see how a better fit/stance helps the car!

Soon as the weather breaks, they will be on the car.
Next:
Pickup the sides.
Find Stock headlights (never found mine)
Repair my tail lights or replace them.
Find a lip
Paint the sides and Bumper
Put everything else on the car.
