Just got my shifter from an MKIII Supra in. Just need to extend it and I'm done with the transmission!
Does anyone know of any reputable shops that still machines the 2JZGE cams to fit the 1JZGTE engine?

check out the last few pages of my work log and you will see. the h1c is too weak for the car. the difference between that and the hx40 is like a night and day. it pulls harder now, and for some reason i have better gas mileage. i used the same wastegate spring, and the same t3 mainfold. there is no scewing the results.
but since you already have it then try it for yourself. id just sell that turbo (i sold mine for $350 no rebuild). and pick up a hx40.

nice to see some AZ people in here! new to the sc world myself, picked mine up a few months ago. would love to come hang out next time youre working on this thing, depending on where you are in AZ.
Also im doing a two tone interior in mind as well. im doing black carpet in mine. my tan carpet is in really good shape, and you can have it for free if your old one is beat.

I'll try the turbo out and updgrade at a later time. I just want to get the car done so I can practice drifting. I dont want to start out with too much power at first.
Thanks MJC I'm just waiting on an engine hoist rental so I can pull the motor. It's all unplugged and ready to go. If you're serious about the carpet then I can take it off your hands this weekend
