I just finished putting the s13 ka trans in my sc4 and I gotta say I have been 1upped!
I originally wanted to do this but heard I had to get the bell housing milled and the shifter assembly notched. Regardless yours looks and sounds awesome! Congrats man!

so the pre 2006 synchros are bad. Is it an internal design issue or the part themselves. I have a lead on a 2004 transmission for 150 so I am thinking about picking this up and then getting all the parts.
From what I can see, having R154 I would need:
1. TO bearing
2. Adapter for bellhousing (maybe I missed it but did you get that made or bought)
3. slave, shifter
4. Clutch, flywheel, PP
5. Driveshaft with adapter/1350 conversion
that would not be bad at all. I need to start the car and get it running first but this would be a nice quick project...and then I would be 6 speed like I want and not have to worry about the R154 blowing up on me.
Also I have AEM so I would figure the VSS/speedometer would be easier for me, maybe not though.

3K mile update: Daily driven since day 1 and it seems reliable. My suspension bushings are worn and car starts vibrating at around 140mph
I used a rpm/gear calculator and with the stock 3.92 rear differential top speed should be around 170mph

My car still needs a few things but I should be at desoto soon to get comfy sideways with it
