Thank you! Glad some people appreciates the hard work being put in....
It took me 30 mins to do it on mine. Although I don't wanna say that its very easy to do, it was just one of those thing my itsy bitsy hands were able to handle 'cause it fit in the tight area you need to work on. Getting off the grommet from the passenger side is the easiest part.

On the driver side its fairly easy to remove the lower bushing, by simply giving space behind the rack and smacking the bushing out.

The upper would be a little bit hard, you need to slide the rack to the right, by turning the wheels, to gain clearance and visibility to the upper bushing. Best tool to remove it would be a long screwdriver and a medium size hammer, and just smack it at different angles at the aluminum sleeve of the bushing. Once its off, its all a matter of making your hand fit in the tight spaces to slip the polyurethane bushings on. We also did it in chargerfan's SC400 when we did his front control arm bushings, but wasn't able to take pics... unless he haven't linked me the pics yet!
People always ask where to get steering rack bushings. SC's are slowly getting back in the game. There are so many companies that's starting to reproduce parts for our cars now.
chargerfan used Whiteline on his, he bought it from Prothane's online shop.

I bought my Daizen's off of a member that wrecked his SC and never got to install them, which is also very hard to come by nowadays. Some get lucky to get them some don't receive them when they order it online.

Another pic with the old OEM bushings for comparison.

One of our vendors, Figs Engineering, also came through with it, so please don't waste their effort. They were able to source it out within a few months of me asking them about it. It is manufactured by SuperPro from Australia if I'm not mistaken, and also a very good quality polyurethane bushing.

Orrrrrr, for the more hardcore guys, y'all can use the solid aluminum from Battle Version. Only downfall on going this route is, it doesn't come with the grommet for the passenger side, you either gotta reuse the old one or buy OEM for $36+.

Isn't the grommet pretty tore up after 15+ years? I should probably buy a new one. They obviously don't include this as an aluminum piece. I'll take a look at Sewell and see what they charge.

It's not really tore up, but the rubber is already compressed and has taken the shape of the clamp, so it's not a snug fit anymore. From Sewell Lexus it is $36+. I looked it up when I couldn't find poly a few months back.

Some pic whoring as usual, lol! Don't judge my parking, the lady that parked beside my ate up my space before leaving and me taking these pics...

Another gloomy morning in SD.

Last look at my tint.

Those JDM sidemarkers really do make a difference, both in appearance and visibility at night.

Same spot I go to to buy "pandesal", Filipino style of baking bread into small lumps.
Thanks! Saw your SC for sale on CraigsList, wish I had extra money right now, I want a black on black so bad...
Lol!!! I was thinking about posting this, just wanted to keep it pro, but without the "essential tools", I really doubt we could've gotten it done...
