Default Racersky's 92 LS400 Build Thread

What's going on everyone. My name is Duy original from Texas but now resident for school in Philadelphia, PA. I purchased my 1991 LS400 a little over a year ago and finally had the chance to begin the modding of the car. My intentions for the car is to try to build a decent VIP Style Car.

This is how it looked when I picked it up.

The car was already lowered with shocks and springs by the previous owner (Female driver was persuaded with lowering springs and tokico blue shocks from Sears lol) bug I decided to upgrade the suspension to Coilovers.

I then decided to test fit my wheels before mounting tires and coilovers to see how much I'm gonna have to do in order to get them to sit right.

The Fronts:

The rears:

Looks like my fitment currently. :thumb up:

Are you planning to run upper control arms and run demon camber or body work?

Good luck,

as for upper control arms from what studio told me they said that's still in Developmental stages so i'm stuck with my stock ones for now. I'm gonna camber it as much as I can with the stock camber adjustments in the rear and soon order the RCAs if i need to. Bodywork might be down the road but not for a while. I'm planning to convert my LS to manual soon just doing some research on what I need now and I just realize someone in Pennsylvania just recently did a conversion.

First test fitment.....

Second Test Fit......

Time to max out all my settings lol.....

What is everyone starring at?

That's not the right way to align your car it suppose to be all green lol. Stock camber adjustments maxed out in the front without camber plates. Forgot to take pics of the rear specs.

It's fender rolling time....

Thanks Intercity Concept for letting me use your shop and for mounting my tires

I was told from several people no matter how extreme you roll that fender that 18x12 will never fit and your wasting your time.

Nice , haven't been on here for a minute but it's nice to see you making progress. What wheels did you end up getting?

not bad, but im interested in seeing your final alignment specs and close up of the fenders, that rear pull looks kinda gnarly...

I don't think i'll be getting an alignment anytime soon but once I do I will post it up. As for the fenders I pulled and rolled them a little extreme so the fenders looks a little effed up and wavy. I didn't realize the car was hit in the driver side quarter so when I rolled it the bondo started cracking.

Either way the car will be going to a bodyshop to smooth out the fenders.
