So if there was 2 rows of pins and 10 pins total... #1 would be top left and #6 would bottom left??

You should use the connector with the wiring when determining connector pin numbers. Your numbering was right though ...

when you look at the female plug (connector with the wiring and looking on those pin holes) and the lock being on top , 1 is top left ... then go to the right ... then next row , left to right

Go Big or Go Home ... as Scott says it , lol.

Got the godfather of Electric Pumps in the mail today , the Weldon 2345-A with the Weldon Fuel Filters. This will complement my triple Denso Pumps to be able to support +1500rwhp on E85 for the Black Pearl. Feed for the pump is -12an and output is -10an. With E85 you use 30 to 40% more volume of fuel but it is a cheap racing fuel compared to C16. E85 is around 105 octane. Your engine runs cooler thus produces more power and torque.... better spool for your turbo too because of more exhaust gases. Here comes the beauty of the ProEFI flex fuel capability. You pump whatever you have in your vicinity ... 93 or e85 and let the ECU take care of the ECU tune / map for you. You can do that too for AEM V2 with the 02v02 firmware and manual trans not just with an auto trans since that firmware do not support the TT trans.

I've posted this before, but it doesn't hurt to post it again.

Everything you've ever wanted to know about all the Toyota connectors (including pin number assignments) and harness repair can be found here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...15339255,d.cWw

There is no better resource.

Thanks,

E85 FTW. more boost, higher timing.. the only drawback is it does its job TOO well lol. it won't knock, but once it goes wrong, it goes WRONG:

^^^^ yeap ... exactly why you need a built engine and an excellent ECU with excellent fail safes to protect your engine when you use E85. But can't beat E85 for its price and what it can do for your car . You want power at a good cost , got to use E85 .

Dang, can't wait for the poly-urethane side skirts and rear bumper . And I just realized , got an invoice to pay for them.. ahhaha.. sending it in the next two days !!!

Black Pearl isn't running yet , I am trying to get it's fuel system done once and right.... and be ready for its high hp engine eventually. I need quite a few fittings welded on the fuel tank which my triple TT Denso, Weldon 2345a pumps and rollover vent needs. I did tack weld the fittings but need to get them properly welded.

Black Pearl isn't running yet. Been lazy lately ... I need to lift my *** and get together with my buddy Jared from Speed for Sale so he can weld the fittings I needed for the big as? fuel system for that car.

Meanwhile since there are no well proven triple or even double clutch CD009 setups for high torque / hp 2JZ setups yet, decided to keep the ATF built trans on the Old Man Tan that has the 1100hp rated PT-6870 turbo. I hate to install my reserve V160 on it since Black Pearl already has a V160 plus my four MKIVs has V160. Wanted to try something else. Today , to keep the ATF built trans happy and lasts a bit longer , installing 3 big oil coolers on the Old Man Tan just like what I have on the Red Mamba One. Heat is what facilitate the demise of auto transmissions. Having lots of coolers make them last longer and make them perform better and happier .

At the same time from a 4" inter-cooler , I would install the 5" inter-cooler I have around.

On my next dyno session , will try the Sound Performance Quick Spool Valve I have just installed on the PT-6870 for the Old Man Tan. This will help me gain better torque down low and make my turbo spool a lot better.

Gerb,

Make sure to give us some good pics on how you did those trans coolers and lines. When I upgrade to my ATF I want to run at least two big coolers. Where you are mounting yours is where I was thinking of doing mine. I'm also still going through the factory radiator. Right now just have a small B&M on the Boost Logic one.

Thanks,

Shane

Shane - I will take pictures of how I mounted them once I am done.

I usually put a 3 inch space between transmission coolers and AC Condenser and 1 inch space between transmission coolers and inter cooler . So in worst case scenario , if my radiator clutch fan is having trouble cooling all those big coolers , then I can install two push fans in-front of the AC condenser / behind the transmission coolers to help take out the heat from the coolers and pull fresh air from the front of the inter-cooler . That 5" inter-cooler is huge , but wait till you see my ETS 6" inter-cooler on the Black Pearl. It is humongous .

This is where the third transmission cooler will be....... Is it overkill cooling ? No such thing as overkill in cooling your damn expensive $3k ATF transmission as long as the temperatures are within the normal working temps or a bit cooler. It definitely helps preserve your ATF built transmission.

To help monitor my Transmission temperature , I installed a Trans temp sensor where my Trans filter is... gauge inside the car to monitor temp of trans oil coming out of the transmission. The trans filter is basically helping avoid debris coming into your coolers specially metal debris if your transmission fails. Otherwise coolers will become useless if metal debris gets into them

Shane , here you go

physical mounting ...

the two behind the intercooler are bolted together on top and at the bottom so they become like one .... they are also fastened by a metal bar at the bottom where the AC line holder holes are ... two bolts right there

on each side , they are bolted with my inter-cooler to the side of the chassis .... that intercooler and two trans coolers won't go anywhere with the way I bolted them . Inter-cooler is also bolted / supported by a bar on each end at the bottom

Name: 20160318_132304_zpsdjaiwoqy.jpg
Views: 277

The third trans cooler is bolted on each end

For plumbing , the output from the trans goes to my trans filter where my temp sensor is ... so I get an accurate temperature of my trans fluid ..

goes right where that fitting (without anything bolted) ..

you see my trans fluid temperature sensor ..

Name: 20160318_132219_zpsw8gx44xl.jpg

then from the last cooler goes back to the transmission.. that silver -10an fitting at the back

Since I am working on coolers , I might as well do the Oil Cooler and the Power Steering cooler on the other side of the car .... just like what I did with Red Mamba One ..

EDIT : Forgot to add .... before you plumb the coolers .. fill them up with the Toyota ATF IV fluid ...

My Engine oil and Power Steering Fluid coolers are done. You have to make sure you control the engine oil temperature . It is of paramount importance that your Engine Oil has to reach the normal operating temperature and the cooler should keep it at that temperature or just a tad cooler. To do that , I only allow the oil to get into the cooler if it reaches a certain temperature so I use a Mocal Sandwhich plate with a thermostat. The plate will only allow oil to pass and get into the cooler if it goes a certain temperature.

Looking good Gerry! I was thinking of using an oil cooler as well, but thought it would be a pain when changing the oil. Do you empty out the cooler everytime you change oil?
