Default surf247 mini build--on the way--

So...

Don't really know how to start one of these because i've never done one of these before so i figured you got to start somewhere..so here we go!

Got SGM 2008 RWD IS250 about 1.5-2 months ago and i've gotta say i love it.

Coming from a 2005 mustang it is a world of difference definitely for the better.\

Bought the car with 62k miles with extended bumper to bumper for 23k out the door im sure it was a little steep but it was exactly (fully loaded with xenon/halogen headlights) what i wanted minus the 350...but an extra 400 a month with insurance and the added car payment was out of my budget.

At first when i got the car i was contemplating doing anything to it because it was a "Lexus" and i didn't want to touch it....couple weeks later and the first mod came along and it has all downhill from there LOL.

The day i bought the car:surf247 mini build--on the way---270712_10151406585487544_412014157_n.jpg....with the fiance (newly engaged

1st mod: tint...30% in front limo all the way around...might switch it up to 30% all the way though...sorry dont have pictures of it but im sure you all know what it looks like lol.

2nd mod: Got the takeda intake was debating about switching becuase i thought it was to loud but i've gotten used to it surf247 mini build--on the way---img_6691.jpg

3rd mod: i got the GFX side skirts from sewell (find out through CL withe discount it was only $60.00! only took about 20-30min to install which was pretty nice too. surf247 mini build--on the way---img_0303.jpg

4th mod: This mod I suggest EVERYONE do..red outs..$9.00 on ebay! what a steal and IMO best looking mod for the price...no brainer! surf247 mini build--on the way---img_2328.jpg

alright guys so did these mods and i realized i got sucked into this world of modding and now im stuck...well the list keeps going and im sure it wont end any time soon.

5th mod: I NEEDED roof racks because I wasn't going to let my sandy surfboard in my brand new car so i got a Thule roof rack system with Inno surf rack and i must say it is super user friendly and im super stoked i got this...i can fit 4 short boards or 2 longboards and 1 short board...surf247 mini build--on the way---img_2166.png

6th mod: i got the 6000k led vanity lights and cabin lights...$50.00 for the set and i think it looks pretty good on the inside...please excuse the daytime pic, ill update one later with a night time one...
surf247 mini build--on the way---img_2318.jpg

7th mod: I got to get a pretty decent deal on ebay for a "f sport grill" $50.00 on eaby so i bought it...why not worth the risk i put it on and also painted the grille surround in black plastidip...i think it turned out well but i've been a little lazy and havent really cleaned it up yet...so please excuse that.... surf247 mini build--on the way---img_2327.jpg

8th mod: i spent a pretty penny on the JDM window visors...at first when I bought them I felt i shot myself in the foot because they were so expensive and i didnt notice much of a difference...however they have definitely grown on me and I am happy i committed to buying them...very simple install about 15 mintues and stoked i got them...surf247 mini build--on the way---img_4819.png

9th mod: kings licence plate surf247 mini build--on the way---img_1257.png

10th mini mod: i had to get a radar detector because i do have a lead foot so i got the Valentine one...dont worry i am hardwiring tomorrow surf247 mini build--on the way---img_2316.jpg

Great detailed journey of your mods so far.

I don't know if it was you or another member who was having a hard time deciding on whether to purchase JDM visors or AVS visors. But glad you picked up the JDM ones because they look great.

The rear sway bar is a must for me and a big upgrade over stock. You will feel a difference in performance right away IMHO.

It might be a little difficult to get a Five Axis front lip as they were limited and now discontinued. But you could probably find one in the classifieds section. They usually pop up.

Since you got the GFX sides, are you planning on a rear lip?

As for painting the calipers, I would go with a Tiffany Blue or a Crystal Blue Metallic. I think those colors would go well and stand out with SGM. But of course this would all depend on what type of rims (color) you would be getting. Just don't paint them black and red.

Good look on future mods.

I remember when you first joined. You didn't want to do much at all. It's nice to see that you've done some small touches that won't affect you getting to the beach! Great mods and future mods planned. Congrats on the new car and the new lifelong wife to be!
