Same ECU from the page 2. The previous rework remained intact. This time, the NEC C4554 transistors started leaking on the PCB.

They symptoms were a lot of white smoke and the smell of raw fuel coming out the tailpipe. Gonna repair, but first need to source a suitable replacement

Same pinout and had the most similar specifications. I'll give it a try when they get in. It's beyond me why they had the same failure as the electrolytic capacitors.

repairing my interior driver side door panel. it had quite a few cracks in the plastic. highly recommend this stuff if you're looking to repair and reinforce the ABS portion of your door panel. good as new.

25JAN17 - The Project SC
picked up a project SC earlier this year. the previous owner was going to send it off to the jy. The car is a 93 auto from IL. there were spots of rust present in the some of the components of the engine bay, but didnt see anything underneath. dont let the black exterior fool you; it's plastidip, a very thin layer to be exact and an absolute PITA to get off! the only way i could get it off was rubbing it away with WD40. underneath the plastidip was the onyx black with peeling clear coat and in terrible condition.
Everything wrong with it:
1. thin matte black plastidip.
2. peeling clear cloat.
3. dents, scrapes, scratches seen thru the plastidip.
4. crooked driver side fender-bondo showing.
5. torn leather seats
6. a lot missing
a. missing auto shifter
b. missing shift plate
c. missing center console bezel
d. missing passenger door panel
e. missing left & right headrests
f. missing rear seats
g. missing rear seat belt buckles
h. missing rear speakers
i. missing rear deck
j. missing subwoofer
k. missing rear quarter panels
l. missing sunroof switches
m. missing floor mats
n. missing all trunk lining

i had the tough decision of whether to put the interior back in or put in a racing seat and calling it a day?

30APR17 - Manual Swap Begins - Manual Clutch & Brake Pedals
Began the swap to manual. Installed a brand new Aisin clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal assembly and manual brake pedal. Pierced 4 holes in the firewall; 3 for the clutch master, and 1 for the lower mounting point for the clutch pedal assembly.

23MAY17 - Manual Swap Progress - OEM Exhaust Removal
Removed the entire OEM catback exhaust. Straight forward removal but the hardest part was removing the rusted bolts. I had to borrow the dremel to cut em off and broke an exhaust hanger while I was getting it off the car. I think there was an exhaust leak in the midpipe gasket. I should have replaced it when I had it off the car and the dremel (only a $2 Walker 31350 part). I should have also bought an aftermarket exhaust. oh well, repeat.

04MAY17 - Manual Swap Progress - 5 Speed Gauge Cluster
Installed the manual gauge cluster after i finished installing the pedals. As cool as it looks without the PRND2L, I believe the cluster was for a 92 and the car is a 93 auto. Unfortunately, the RPM's did not work and not sure why. Researched it but no definitive answer. When I put back the auto cluster the RPM's worked just fine. I set this aside for now till I have the time to figure this one out. Anyone have an idea?

01JUN17 - Manual Swap Progress - Auto Trans Removal
Placed the black SC in the garage and the GS outside for the time being and I bought a cheap car cover. Fitment was pretty good, however I do NOT recommend cheap car covers-it only lasted me the summer and a waste of $20. Removed the catback and auto trans. The top 2 transmission bolts were the most difficult to remove.

the gauge itself is probably at fault (the tach). mine worked great when i bought the 92 earlier this year but, sadly the tach has almost all-together stopped working. i suspect the motor itself
