Well it has been a sad day today due to the weather. Its raining pretty steady.. I dropped off my step son and my wifes work and I was on the way home. Then suddenly out of no where a rusty looking dog comes out of the bushes and BAMMMMMMM I hit it.. Tore up my original lip and front bumper.

Just hung up with my insurance company State Farm.. They are going to repair it like new again and it will be dropped off to Century BMW paint and body on Thursday. I also have a 0 deductible but I dropped the rental car coverage.. Now I regrit it but I have my 1995 SC to drive.. Anyway long story short I wasnt injured and I killed the dog and here are the pictures.

In the end I think this front lip can be reusable. I will tell the body shop guys NOT to throw it away. It will be for sale.. Whoever wants it for a cheap price.... PM me!

The lip does look OK. There's nothing better than fresh paint.

Thanks man. I did them myself.. Pull them out and place in preheated oven at 300 degrees for about 5-7 minutes. This will reactivate the factory sticky glue. Pull apart, clean with rubbing compund or something close, then polish, then wax. Make sure to also do the actual lens, then put back together then reseal with black 100% silicone.. Zip tie them shut and tight, let sit, then when dried reinstalled. They look great when buffed out.. Once back in the car wetsand the outer lense cover with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper then buff with cutting compound then polish then wax. Wolla.. shiny new headlights

Thanks Boboridesb! Here is the Aliga bumper.. pretty rough shape, but for $80 bucks, no complaints here. Thanks Aliga.. Here is some progress on it..

All sanded down with 220 grit

Sem paint remover is the ****zel!

I actually applied it wrong.. I was supposed to spray, let it bubble then remove.. OOOpppsss.. I sprayed the entire bumper, then let it dry.. Back to the parts store tonight. More to come....

If your going to have to cut it any for the front mount it may be better to do that before paint? Idk just a thought.

Well it is getting alot closer. Talked to my buddy yesterday in Atlanta and he has pulled the 1JZGTE motor out of the Soarer. I have been working on and off on the front bumper. What a pain it has become to sand all this old green paint off. Its a slow process, but getting there. I am using 220 grit. I also picked up the cherry picker today and received my five speed bexel in the mail. I have been working in the yard, and tearing down my back deck.. Those were my honey to do lists.. Here is a few pictures along the way.. I will be starting to pull a few things in the morning. I will try to remove the hood, headlights, front bumper with clear corners, exhaust, driveshaft, radiator, condensor, ait intake with BFI, and a few other things in the morning. Check the classifieds for these items, and of course there will be alot of pictures along the way.

The cherry picker, borrowed from my buddy.

The shifter bezel

The aggravating front bumper

Well I got some more work dont today. I believe I got more than I actually thought in a few hours. I removed the front bumper, air intake with MAF, both headlights, BFI, overflow coolant tank, radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator shroud, driveshaft, heat shield, battery, battery tray, power steering resevoir, painted a few parts, and loosened up the motor mounts. If you need some of these items, they are for sale in the classified section. Enjoy the pictures along way..

As I pull it in to the emergency surgery!

BFI top removed

BFI side intake under headlight

Almost gone, except for the sides

Battery gone

Radiator draining

Undercarriage damged by stupid dog, but lip is reuseable.. :-)

Unplugged the fan hydraulic hose

Dont forget the right side battery hose clamp on the backside of the fan shroud

Radiator and shroud pulled, what a mess.

Power steering holder and resevoir removed

Paseenger side headlight removed

Driver side headlight removed

Went to remove the bumper and had to grind on of the bolts.. rusted!

Bumper removed

Reuse the 5 mph white piece and the bottom lip.. sweet!

Exhaust...

Exhaust removed.. now for sale

Removed...

Heat shield...

View of driveshaft..

remove those center bolts and bracket..slide out back side of drivetrain

making progress I see, great write up...so take your old engine and try sell it, and turn around and take whatever money made and put it back into your SC. On a side note: my buddy put that same engine in his lil yota pickup, and that thing moves!
