Another note... This is with no VVTI. It was playing up at the high rpm's so were going to put it on at lower rpms then nock it off at about 5k as it does bring the boost in earlier with it on. just goes to rich up high

Been a while since i updated this. I've been way to busy but.. yeah i'll let this video speak for itself. Oh forgot to mention. The car made 460bhp in the end. Not the best but hopefully we can get more out of the new turbo (See below)

unfortunately the turbo died a few days after that video due to poor rebuild so i'm buying a gt35r at the end of this month more updates then.

you can see the impeller wheel nut came off and the turbo ate it.

a couple things...
if you wanna go 2j bottom end, you can get a vvti feed line from toyota from a 2jzge vvti, it's longer to accommodate the extra deck height, or your friend with the tig welder can just extend yours.

Also it looks like your ecu has no way of controlling the vvti from the looks of the dyno graph. Once you fitted the ecu it seems to be very similar to the non vvti graphs where torque peaks towards the end. IMO, that defeats the whole purpose of this engine. Super huge frowny face.

If I am correct about the vvti part no longer functioning, and if I understand the vvti purpose correctly, you will now have to worry about the extra .5 compression.

Thanks for all the good words I'll find the pictures of the manifold and post them up shortly. It took some making but it's awesome.

The dyno graph from earlier was with no vvti enabled. That was just to test the car would run correctly which it did. When we mapped properly we enabled the vvti and that's when we got the 460 out of the car. I will see if i can get that graph and post it up i didnt print it off at the time. I was to busy getting the car ready for the drag event that weekend haha.

The little corsa is amazing. It's my friend nicks and last i remember it was 580bhp the crazy little thing. here's a little video of it in action

I think i'll got 2jz bottom end once the 1j one goes. That's if it does i'm hoping not at the minute since i'm paying £900 for a new turbo haha.

Ah, so I was correct. Did mapping the cam timing bring the beautiful torque curve back? In for graphs! Does that ecu support vvti straight out of the box, or did you guys have the fun of having to set the range of the cam first through pwm outputs and such?
