Talking xxtoobsxx build thread...It begins!

So I decided to pick up some parts to eventually start my build process which Ill document later. SO i picked up a new black fender for $100 today at the junks. Took my audi tt retrofits off my old sc400 and my staggered 18's and put them on my wrecked car (not so wrecked anymore). It still needs some minor bodywork keep that in mind, but it beats rolling around with a smashed headlight and effed up fender. Oh i also picked this up today for a whopping $300...$3100 bucks left from the accident!

i just looked on the quantum site the other day, and i guess the upgrade for the howe throwout bearing is for the quarter master unit. apparently the howe bearing will fail prematurely. i think the QMI part number is 721-100

Thanks Hellfish! I'm in san diego...nice weather today too. I will do some progress pics after I get my body work and interior done. I'm going to pick up a "jdm" low mileage motor. Bolt the tranny to that and install it all together. So it may be a few months before the car is a 5 speed, I was just excited so I wanted to show yall!

So I got some more parts. I think I m going to start a build thread soon!

I just got an IS300 wheel with airbag to replace my nardi and nrg hub. Vertex rep kit and a SEIBON CF vented hood. Which means my 97+ sides and rear will be up for sale soon!

Ok...question of the day! Should i re clear the carbon hood? Or paint it oem black onyx (like rest rest of the car will be re painted)? Or Paint it black onyx but leave the vents unpainted so the carbon fiber shows? I have a carbon fiber oem wing too!
