SC570--The OFFICIAL build thread

Will keep you posted on how things go.
But I have changed the plan, the Lexus harness and ecu will NOT be used. The LS1 harness is very straight forward, so I have decided to simply cut and extend the LSX body plugs and splice in and rewire the stock Lexus body plugs straight to the LS harness.
I will still be keeping the a/c, but will be making some adjustments to allow the LSX ecu/harness recognize the power/settings from the stock HVAC unit work. After talking to a few helpful FD/LSX owners, I found a couple of loop holes that made life very easy

Almost finished:
Just need to clip, extend and swap some plugs, and it will be 100% plug-n-play!! So I will be finishing the harness tomorrow, getting it routed through the bay, hooking up fuel lines, then finish up the passenger side header modifications, and get it ready to fire up.

VATS bypass module ordered. New FPR and hoses assemble waiting to install tonight, and only 6 wires to extend and the harness goes back on for a test.
Possible videos Saturday of the first start up, will be on open headers, but video will be in 1080p HD.
Not much of an update I know, but taking a break from messing with wires, and working on a wire diagram at the moment for future reference and figured I would post where things are at...
and just for fun:
test fitting the coil covers, valve covers not installed yet
and the solution to the LSX non-return fuel rails:

What was your solution to the returnless fuel system? I was going to get aeromotive fuel rails and hook them up to the sc factory lines but that may get a lil pricey. By I buy the rails ($200), stainless lines and misc fittings ($100) your looking at a good chunk of change.

Thanks, trying to keep it clean and straight to the point
Slowly, but still moving forward. Started to reinstall the harness yesterday, and installed the FPR and new fuel lines.
, just wait for the first start up vid..
Thanks, and just let me know when you want to stop by...plus I would like to see your SC with the cage in it.
It was actually very simple, and fairly cheap. Just added a FPR with a "T" fitting on the inlet side, and used the return from the FPR to go back to the stock return. Got the info here:

Im sure I could have done that, but wanted a factory appearance to the LS itself, so my FPR is somewhat tucked away, but gauge is still able to be seen if needed. But the link above shows the solution.
as for general updates, engine harness is almost back on completely, just need to run the harness to the relay box, then into the car, extend 7 wires, and done. All thats left from there is the exhaust flange clearance issue, and swap one of the optima batteries from my truck into my SC, and test everything out.
I dont have anything going on tomorrow, so I will be completing as much as possible, and once the harness is in, I will have more pics, then after testing, a very simple pinout conversion to show what went where.

Thanks, and be sure to keep us posted on it. Are you going to run the 4L trans, or swap to manual?
Thats what I was originally going with, but the trans from the T/A was slightly different and required less "massaging" for the SC's trans tunnel, but contemplating another S-Chassis car soon for a GTO 5.7...or a Z32
Any where I can check out the build on the Z?
