Moved to a better location.

I made this mistake on my Work Wheels once. I had to get the lips repolished. I keep it simple now and just use car soap and water. For the heavy duty jobs there is always Sonax and Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Gel.

Pressure washer, some car soap and microfiber clothes is all I use on my Weds wheels. No need for any of those expensive and corrosive "wheel cleaners". I wash my wheels at least once per week and they look great. Some of those wheels cleaners are priced like liquid gold and they're harmful to coating on aftermarket wheels... Stay away from them!

WOW! That's wild you cant use Non Acidic / Chemically Abrasive Sprays on them! Not even Simple Green huh? Curious why this applies to such a well known Brand, or does it pertain to ALL Anodized Wheels? I've simply used a Damp MF Towel on each Wheel and wiped off Brake Dust w that. Once you apply a quality Ceramic type Coating everything comes off so much easier too. :thumbup:

That's really cool to see! I usually just pressure wash them and then use whatever ONR i have left in my bucket with microfiber towels and wipe the barrels and etc...

This applies to any anodized wheels or any type of soft/raw finish.

WORK wheels are the worst when it comes to oxidation. I have had numerous WORK wheels, new and used and pretty much all of them got ruined one way or the other. I have switched to WEDS wheels, specifically to their Leon Hardiritt line of wheels and this problem went away. I am not sure if WEDS anodize their lips differently than WORK, but WEDS lips do not oxidize at all. They do get duller with time though, but that's normal.

Always used Irish Spring.

Good info. I didnt always wipe the overspray from tire shine off my wheels. I’ll know better for the next set.
