Question How to Prep new wheels for ceramic coating

Ordered the GYEON Q2 Rim - 30 ml coating for my wife's TLX. She picked out her new wheels, & I would like to have them ceramic coated. Is there any special prepping require for new wheels?
If so what is the best way to prep the wheels before I put the coating on?

Thanks

I would think a thorough dirt removal and polish or wax maybe. Since they're new I don't think you'd have to do much to prep them. Of course you'd want to clean the polish residue off with a prep cleaner I'd assume comes with the ceramic kit. I watched my freind coat his with Adam's wheel coating. It's definetly not like wax on wax off. It's like trying to wipe off tape residue with a dry rag. Not sure I have the patience yet to try ceramic just yet even though I know it's best to ceramic.

It sounds like your wheels are new, so just give them a thorough cleaning with a good wheel cleaner, then wipe them down with something like Carpro eraser (or equivalent), then make sure the rims are 100% dry before applying the coating. Wait until the next day if necessary to be sure the wheels are completely dry.

If you're super OCD, then you can polish the the faces to bring out an extra shine in the finish before wiping them down with eraser.
