Default Does Lexus sell and make OEM leather?

I want to get new leather seats for my car. I tried to look for some seats from the salvage yard, but no luck. Does the dealer offer the option to buy new leather seats?

You can buy new seat covers online and then replace the leather -- http://www.oemlexusparts.com/2006-le...248320B0-item/
Otherwise it's worth it to check ebay for the same thing -- replacement seat covers for your year/make/model.

If I interpret correctly, buying seat covers as in covering over the existing leather? Are there instructions on how to do it?

No. You need to remove the original leather "covers" down to the foam backing and install the new covers.

I would advice to have an upholstery shop do it for it to look right. They might need to add padding, trim or tuck, etc. for it to look perfect. Especially if you have an older car that has flattened foam backing from many years of use, the new covers might have some extra material that will just look loose when installed (see it all the time when people install covers on their own, it fit's OKAY at best).

www.leatherseats.com is a very popular source to get high quality covers for most cars with different materials/colors and so on.
