Default Scratched rim on sidewalk

What should I do? How hard is it to fix this myself? I live in Bay Area.

Depends on how you want it to look. You probably don't have anything to lose by trying to fix it yourself. From the picture it doesn't look that bad.

Ask your dealer if they have a mobile wheel repair guy who visits, Or ask some of the local detail shops. We had one locally my brother-in-law used several times that would fix such things for about $60.

I did similar to my Mercedes GLK350 and nearly died b/c it also had a huge slither sticking out from the rim. I was devastated to say the least. So I calle Mercedes dealership and asked who do they recommend to repair wheels and they gave me a name and number and this guy did a fantastic job. It was like a kid at Christmas time. You could not tell there was ever a mark on my wheel.

Curb rashes. Lesson learned, never park too close to sidewalks.

I got two rims fixed at the dealer for $150. Normally it is $99 per rim. But ask your dealer if they got special discounts.

The fix was excellent. I could not tell where the rash once was.
