Default CarPro Cquartz Leather Coating

Has anyone used this product? My search only brought up a 3 year old thread and the product doesn't appear to be the same ( https://www.clublexus.com/forums/aut...er-review.html ).

My main concern is preventing UV damage to both the leather dash and leather rear window deck. If anyone has had experience with this product I would appreciate any feedback.

I also read that people use 303 Aerospace on leather, but I am a little reluctant to use this product on leather.

That product no longer exists... Leather & Fabric was discontinued and CarPro released 2 new products that focus on each area. One for leather, and one for fabric.

CQuartz Leather Coating
CQuartz Fabric Coating

Both products are pretty awesome. It seems all you will need is the Leather Coating. It is very easy to apply and works great in my experiences.

Thanks Zach.

It's on sale right now on DI so I think I'll go ahead and get it.

I'll probably try it in an inconspicuous section first, just in case.

As long as you do not have light colored leather, I have never heard of any issues with the product. There have been a few reported cases of white leather slightly yellowing over time after it has been coated which is why it is not recommended for use on white/light colored leather.

Thanks Zach. Mine came with perforated leather. Will CQuartz leather coating block those holes?.

Nope, the coating needs a surface to bond to... it will not form over the perforation.

I am a little concerned about discoloration. The leather is a medium tan color.

I've only used it on dark colors. I do not think there have been issues with tan, but I would reach our to Corey at CarPro-US for more info.

I've have it on my Flaxen seats, no issues with color discoloration yet. I've had it on for about a year now.

Thanks Zach for all the info. I reached out to Corey at Carpro. He is a very nice guy, very helpful, patiently answered all my questions.

All my cars are with tan leather. He said tan/ parchment color shouldn't be a problem. He had seen some discoloration on blonde (?) / white or alabaster leather . Ordering one to try it out......
