I especially like that 303 gives the dash a beautiful matte finish with UV protection. Absolutely a great product.

I'l also a big fan of 303. I discovered it when I owned a Chevy Avalanche. The Avalanches had quite a bit of unpainted plastic that would fade in the sun and reveal the injection molding characteristics. I used 303 on these surfaces regularly and my plastic always looked perfect, even when my friend's Avalanche (bought in the same summer) began to fade and begin to show the "stipes" from the injection molding.

With more and more designers using these unpainted plastic layers to reduce the visual height of vehicles, this product should become a staple for all.

I think 303 gives a bit too much shine, how can it be dulled down some?

Buff the area with a microfiber.

You could also dilute it with distilled water.

This pic (from http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-P...-pearl-part-3/) shows Optimum Protectant Plus/untreated/303 Aerospace. Einzett Cockpit Premium would look like the untreated area.

I don't worry too much about the other products not providing as much UV protection as 303 Aerospace. Automotive glass already cuts 90%+ of UV, add window tint and some UV protection from the dressing and it's sufficient for most geographies (maybe not the desert southwest or Florida, if your car is parked outside all the time).

Been using it for over 12 years+ Everything its used on stays bright and fade free. I use it on weatherstripping, door seals, hoses, low mileage tires, headlights, emblems,

I know it works because I have BFG All terrains on my truck from 2008 that have perfect sidewalls while the tread recesses have small cracks, same with the first set from 2000 to 2008. I might just use a small brush to treat the treads next time around.

Its parked outside and sees 3000 miles a year. Paint is glossy as heck thanks to probably over 40 layers of zaino in the last 15 years.

Recently just bought a gallon of 303 from Amazon.

A matte finish from 303? I wish this was true the only thing I don't like about the product is the shine. I don't mind it on door panels and the like but on the dash padding too glossy. I've also had the "problem" where when I put it on tires it turns brown after a while. But easily fixed just wash and reapply.

Just used some 303 on the tires. We shall see how long it holds up.

So if you want to remove the 303 how to do that? I'm not into the shine either.

To reduce the sheen upon application, simply apply with one towel, then immediately wipe away with a 2nd dry towel and you'll get much less sheen.

The dash/vinyl can be somewhat sensitive... so to try to remove it, I would simply soak a MF towel in warm water with some soap in it, wring the towel out so it is just damp, and wipe the panels. (do a test spot first to see if it works)

You must have a magic towel because once applied no amount of wiping will change the sheen unless you remove the products completely, it is what it is.

Try buffing with a quality microfiber about 10 minutes later..
Always has worked toning down the shine for me to a slight shine matte finish I like..

Maybe it reacts different depending on the surface, but I don't get much if any appearance change by buffing shortly after application. Don't get me wrong I love 303 it is long lasting and protects extremely well I just wish there was a matte version.
