Cleaning up my Spark Plug Cover
I recently purchased an Aristo VVT-i 2JZ. I've been disassembling it, and I noticed that there are some spots worn into the plug cover. I really like the factory color of these plug covers, so I was wondering if there's anything I can do to save it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can try some very light polish on it (not a compound).
When I machine polished a 2JZGTE spark plug cover, it definitely brought the gloss up but in some sections removed the paint. Yes, it's that soft and that THIN. I didn't really care since it was being repainted anyways.
Just be careful and dont focus on any one area too long, especially edges.

Pic is in the link of the first post since it's a large image, but here it is anyway:
What kind of polish would you recommend trying?

I tried Menzerna 85 RD on a rotary with a black finishing pad at 600RPM
Some light polishes you can get include:
Menzerna 85rd (4500SF)
Menzerna 106fa (4000SF)
Menzerna 203 Power Finish
Sonax Perfect Finish
Carpro Reflect
Optimum Hyper Polish (in the spray bottle)
Meguiars 205
3D HD Polish
Honestly, any one of these will do. Only bad thing is none of them are available over the counter so you can't run to your local parts store and get that. Only over the counter polish I am familiar with is Meguiars ultimate compound and to be honest I am not sure how aggressive that is.
