Default Xpel not needed?

Hi!

I had Xpel installed on my LS430 today, and despite my protest, the installer kept telling me that Xpel in not necessary on the top portion of the bumper, only on the front of the bumper. Does this sound right? I went out and looked at my old Toyota Camry and it has numerous paint chips on the "top" of the bumper.

What do you guys think?

If I installed xpel or a similar product, I'd cover all forward facing vertical surfaces and at least the first 12" of the hood.

Looks like I don't have to worry. They had an "extra" sheet after the installation, and they were able to cover the top of the bumper, the first part of the hood, the mirrors, the front of the bumpers, and the headlights.

I've also seen a kit from another mfg that has pieces to cover the cab top over the windshield, the A pillars, and has pieces for the door cups.

I have the full Xpel front end. Still, at some point it is just too much.
