Default I decided to take 21 years out of my interior in the escort...

I was bored, and I had some time, so Saturday morning, bright and early, I set to work removing the interior on the 'scort for some DEEP cleaning. I had 2 goals to accomplish in performing this task:

#1- Fix anything broken that I found while removing the interior
#2- Locate the source of a HORRENDOUS FOUL ODOR that I could not pin down, and either remove it or clean it.

Much better. I nailed the smell (whatever it was) and to be honest, I was suprised it was not nastier than it was under all that. Just some dust. I have torn apart 5 year old cars that looked worse than this one.

I only found a few issues. The E-Brake needed adjusted (easier with the console out) so I did that, then the trunk/fuel door release lever was loose, so I tightened it down. Other than that, she was pristine.

Not sure what caused the smell, but its gone now!
