Default Recently purchased Black IS250, need some detailing products

Good afternoon CL, as the title states I just obtained an IS250, black in color. The paint seems to shine very well but I feel the need to clay the car to get it smooth to the touch, I also need to get some other products like a new washing mitt and car wash soap. I'm on a budget of about $50 maybe a little more so can I get some opinions on what products work well for you and where to buy them.
I need the following: cleaning mitt for washing, soap to wash with, clay bar kit, wax (hand applied), and something to dry with.

Thanks

CG Mr. Pink shampoo, CG Butter Wet Wax, wool wash mitt and a fine grade clay bar. don't forget a good QD (CG P40 QD) that you can use as a clay lube and Quick detailer for after you wash the car.

Your budget is not going to get you what you need to keep your black IS looking good. Black requires extra attention.

I'd suggest that you will need:
• Sheepskin Wash Mitt ($10)
• Gold Class Car Wash or NXT Tech Wash ($10)
• Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying Towel ($10)
• Smooth Surface Clay Bar Kit ($20)
• Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax ($20)
• Several Microfiber Polishing Cloths ($15)

To maintain a black car you should also consider budgeting for a DA machine polisher and some pads. Black paint swirls very easily and you cannot really polish these out by hand.

Our supporting vendors have put together some packages that are ideal for maintaining your car. Check them out.

You might also visit Walmart or Target as a couple manufacturers always put together Christmas packages of the most needed products at a discount.

Sorry to say, I doubt you can find what you need to maintain a black car for what you want to spend.

Budget wise I was just looking for the basics to start a good detail. My extreme budget detail will be around $200 in January, I just need some things to hold the car over for now

here is a very good beginner kit.

Adam's Essentials Kit

You will probably need to pick up a few interior products as well as a machine eventually to keep a black Lexus up.
