I have on more question. Can steps 1-5 be done over two days? I am not sure if I have enough time to finish all 5 steps in a single day. Is it ok to leave the car overnight outside (don't have a garage). Or is it really recommended to finish it all in one setting?

If you just go with this five step process, I'm sure you will be pleased with the results.

1. Wash with a good car washing soap. (i.e.Meg's Gold Class or NXT Car Wash)
2. Clay the paint, glass and wheels. (Any brand clay kit and lubricant)
3. Clean with a paint cleaner. (Try Meg's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner)
4. Polish with a pure polish or glaze. (Try Meg's Deep Crystal Polish)
5. Wax with your choice of carnauba wax or sealant.

Maintain with regular washing and quick detailer.

If you are a perfectionist, that might be a little risky. Leaving the car outside overnight will almost certainly lead to some dust accumulation on it - which can cause swirls when you wax.

To be on the safe side, at the very least, you should use some quick detailer or even a no-rinse wash (for the entire car) right before you start working on it the 2nd day.

If you have a 3m clear protective bra, how would you treat that when polishing/waxing/etc.?

If it's outside, I would NOT go straight to work on it. Like jj14 said, you should do some kind of wash, but even if you aren't a perfectionist.

I wouldn't polish it, but I would wash/wax it just like the rest of the body

Can the Meguar's UQW be a substitute for an actual wax?

I've never used it, but my guess is that it won't be nearly as durable as an actual wax. Probably great for touchups.

Treat it just like paint, only super duper soft paint. I've polished 3M clear bra in the past but it took some tinkering in my method to get it to polish out clear with a PC. I had to resort to my Makita since the PC kept leaving its oscillations on the plastic for some reason

No it is used as a wax "booster". It only lasts a few washes, probably a 2-3 weeks at max. But it is good to be used to help the proper wax last and be more durable. UQW will make the car look a lot better too!
