Default Buffing pad cleaning with 409 APC solution?

Hi,

I wondering if I could spray the 409 all cleaning purpose on the Uber's foam pads and leave it for 10-15 min. The put pads in the bucket with Dawn soap to soak it up another 10 min. After that rinse pad with warm water. Would 409 product ruin the pads? Using Uber's pads.

Thank you.

i dont see why not. i use zep purple to clean pads and it's a much stronger solution. never had a problem with uber pads, 3M pads, or LC pads.

First I let it soak in a bucket of hot water to loosen up the caked on compound/polish. Afterwards I throw some Zep Citrus Degreaser in a new bucket with cold water for 30mins-1hr. Hose it off then dry it off as much as you can. Let it sit in a ventilated area and walk away.
