a sealant would probably be better for the heat in Tx.

a good combo is duragloss 501 and 601

or you could also use collinite 845

the protective topcoat only contributes a very small percentage to the look of the paint. Make sure you clay, decontaminate the paint if required, and polish out any swirls

I agree for the TX heat you'll get better results with a sealant. I'd suggest the Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant for your situation, should provide a great shine and excellent protection.

If you want you can apply a wax on top for great results. The Chemical Guys LAVA Luminous Glow Infusion Wax is great in the higher temps as well. My other choice is the Dodo Juice Diamond White Hard Wax which should look amazing on lighter colors like silver paint. If you have any questions please let me know.

Can't go wrong with power lock, BFWD, or Wolf's BW.

Meguiar's Ultimate Wax is my favorite. A long lasting sealant that looks great and maintains it slickness for months. Easy on and off. Makes pearl paints look deep and wet.

In terms of durability, OptiCoat 2.0. Looks are mainly achieved by prep anyway
