Spill :( Need advice, suggestions
I've had my car for 3+ years and pride myself on keeping it nearly spotless inside and out. Well due to an unfortunate accident, a SweetTea spilled all over my left rear passenger seat and has soaked into the cushion. The fact that my leather is perforated is not helping. I sopped up everything I could with a towel and a wet/dry vac, and left all my windows down. My question is what do I do now, there's already an odor in the cabin .
So what are my options?
- Take out the rear seat cushion and buy a new one?
- Professionals able to fix this?
- ???
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions

in all seriousness. did you wet/dry vac the bottom of the seat? (foam side) If not try that or spray so deodorizer on the foam part of it.
I use steamers to get rid of bad odors all the time. I normally follow up with a deodorizer or fogger after to ensure its completely gone.

I had somthing similar happen in one of my cars. I took out the rear seat cushion and was able to remove the leather and get at the foam rubber. I then steam cleaned it allowing the steam to set in a bit then pulled out any moisture with a microfiber towel. As the shampoo commercials state: Rinse and Repeat until it was gone. Mine was a Coke stain so it was evident where it was but I had no choice as it was sticky.
This also allowed me to clean/wipe down the backside off the leather.

Someone with access to an extractor should have no problem cleaning this up for you. Professional carpet cleaners, upholstery shops, etc. should have one. I know that I used to clean them all the time with mine when doing reco work for a dealer. You'd be amazed what spending $30 can do.
