I'm going to try the SoftScrub deal this weekend. Can I get it from my local car shop? AutoZone? It'll give me something to do while waiting for the seal on my headlight to dry (darn condensation). TIA.

Soft Scrub? Get it at a grocery store in the "Cleaners" Aisle. You'll find it with the other bathroom and kitchen cleaners. It will be down there with Mr. Clean and the Scrubbing Bubbles.

I have been told not to use the SoftScrub with "BLEACH". Food for thought, because it was hard to find it w/o bleach.

Yeah, I'd stay away from the bleach; I think I remember that from the original thread on this in the LS forum.

Wash - Pinnacle Bodywork or Blackfire Shampoo
Compound - Stoner Clear Coat Compound (every two months)
Paint Cleaner - Blackfire Gloss Enhaning Polish
Wax - Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection
Quick Detailer - Deep Gloss Spray
Clay - Automagic
Glass Cleaner - Eimann Fabric Clear Vision
Interior Goodies protected by Pinnacle & 303

I have tried Zanio and Klasse and was disappointed. I tried Blackfire from a neighbor and was shocked at the results. Deeper Shine, Durability and Slickness after two months, Still beading after seven months. This is no joke! I like this product so much I used it on my daughter's 98 Honda Civic and I thought the car came back from the dead. Now I even got her waxing her car! Now if I can get my son to do the same I be in pure bliss!!!

Here's one you can get at almost any auto accessories retailer and will produce stunning results:

Wash - Zip Wax! or Meguiar's Deep Crystal or Gold Class Shampoo
Wax/Polish - Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze followed by Meguiar's #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Yellow Wax or Meguiar's Gold Class liquid.
Quick Detailer - Meguiar's Quik Detailer spray
Dash/Trim - Vinylex or Mothers Protectant
Leather -Lexol or Zymol
Wheels/Tires - Brush the tires with Car shampoo (See above) Turtle Wax Tire Gel/Meguiar's endurance
Windows - Windex
Other- Turtle Wax Microfiber towels (Do not use NicSand)
Comments- All these products are available at auto stores and auto sections in department stores for under $65 and will easily last you 2 years (except maybe the Quik Detailer and tire gel)

Wash - Blackfire Shampoo
Paint Cleaner - Blackfire Gloss Enhaning Polish
Wax - Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection or Zaino Z5/Z2
Protectant - Blackfire
Quick Detailer - Blackfire
Clay - Zaino
Glass Cleaner - Eimann Fabric Clear Vision

I use both Blackfire and Zaino products and both are just fantastic products. Blackfire products seem to buff off easier, but Zaino recommends you leave on longer. I've left Zaino Z5 on for 12 hours and then buffs off just great. Both products are very expensive, but hey! It is a Lexus!

Wax/Sealant - Klasse All in One, Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze(3-6 coats) topped with Poorboy's EX
Quick Detailer-Meguiars Final Inspection and Final Detail
Dash/Trim-Klasse Vinyl, Leather and Plastic Cleaner or Meguiars #40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner & Protectant

Windows-Stoner's Invisible Glass

Buffer/pads-Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Polisher, Lake Country pads from topoftheline.com

I'll go first...
Wash-Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo
Wax/Polish-Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax & S100 Paste Wax
Quick Detailer-Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray Wax/Meguiars #34
Dash/Trim-Vinylex and 303 Aerospace Protectant
Leather-Lexol, with a dab of Connolly Hide Food on the applicator
Wheels/Tires-Wheels/Formula 2001, Tires/Purple Degreaser/Meg's Endurance
Windows-Windex and Stoner's Invisible Glass
Other-PakShak Microfiber Towels
Comments- I've read that a black car is the final exam of car care. I can testify to that. My advice...Don't buy a black car, unless you have a garage.
Amen to the black car advice. I DO have a 3-car garage but the 99 Corvette convertible I recently sold absolutely worked me to death trying to keep it clean. No color looks better than black when clean, but keeping it clean is a bear
