Default removing burnt exhaust tips

I recently used some of Mother's Mag and aluminum polish to remove the burnt tip look on my greddy exhaust (which is polished except for the tips) but now I'm left with a gold finish. Is there anyway I can remove this to get that polished look?

That may be difficult since I think it's the type of metal they use in that exhaust that give it the gold look. I can only suggest to try very fine steel wool. (#00 OR #0000)

Typically the gold finish on a polished exhaust is a result of a color change from heat. There are a couple of choices that you have, I would recommend the P21s Finish Restorer.

Work it in like you would any other metal polish and it will start to bring back your original finish. It is likely that it will dull the gold effect, but based on the amount of heat that the exhaust has been exposed to, it may not necessarily go back to 100% polished again.
