Default Magic Mender - long term results?

I have a few small spots of surface damage on my tan leather that can easily be repaired by a leather kit such as Magic Mender. In deciding whether to get the kit, I did some reading and found claims that the repaired area gets sticky in hot weather or even "pops out" after 6 months. Does anyone have a positive long term experience to share with this product on Lexus leather?

I've already considered upholstery shops, and the minor amount of damage I have is not nearly worth such an option yet.

I would preferred using a leather Install/repair shop before using any type of repair kits.
