Salt is the enemy
So i pulled a noob move and forgot to remove my license plate frame from the car when it snowed...so in all cases the salt residue got to it and basically left a layer of black darkened spots...it doesn't seem like it ate the chrome/polished silver/whatever the coat is...because i managed to scrape some off, but a lot of labor to do so. just wondering if anyone knows how to get this crud of, much appreciated

why not just buy another one?

If it has not etched in the surface then you should be able to polish it out. I would just use a quality metal polish like the P21S Finish Restorer. Let me know if you have any questions.
