Crazy, I finally sold my 250 last week and picked up a 08' 350 with Nav for $29,400 12k miles! Great deal imo. I test drove the car and it smelled fine, maybe a hint of girly perfume.. no prob, the car was just traded in 2 days before...

Well after driving today I get home and I smell like a just got back from a strip club!! I have to take a shower to get the smell of me... wtf??

This is a serious question!! How can I get the smell out??? The car was clean as can be and the delaership washed and cleaned it.. Its almost like the smell is deep into the leather...

Any help???

use meguairs leather cleaner.. and buy meguairs interior detail.. that will make it smell like a mans car.. a man who cares and loves his car...

Bring your car to a cool place (night time) and place a box or two of arms and hammer inside with everything shut. Leave it there overnight and that should take out most smell. Then move out into the sunlight and let it stay there with all windows open for as long as possible. Repeat if necessary and it should get rid of the smell.

Arm and hammer baking soda?? just in the box? Thanks for the good ideas.. I may try them all.. this smell is not too noticable when you sit in the car, but after driving an hour today and got inside the smell feels like it seaped into my pores, even my arms which didnt even touch the leather smell....... My girlfriend is gonna think im cheating!! lol

is it a cheap perfume? if not, maybe tell ur girl to wear it..

anyway, vinegar or coffee might work. we use vinegar at home when the house gets a little "intoxicating" from cooking pungent stuff like garlic, seems to work. might work if u leave some vinegar in your car and have the ac on to help ventilate it, close the windows for a while, then air the car out again.. just don't spill it or over-do it

coffee beans is used in cosmetic stores to help restore the sense of smell if i'm not incorrect, that might work.

Start spraying cologne on the carpets. And keep the sunroof and windows cracked when you park, day and night. It will go away eventually. At least it wasn't an old lady with Gene Natae.

Hey squash works wonders. But you'll be pretty much paying 30 dollars for a pack of four to release the girly smell lol.

My Shaldan squashes are 4 for 10 at your local Asian Marketplace.
I'd shampoo the floor mats. Clean the seats with a leather cleaner/conditioner.
And the headliner (that stuff soaks up odors) like no other...

those squash is too strong...if you use it, now you need to take shower to get away the squash smell, lol. just open the window every night.......and clean the seat.
