Water softener canisters and cartridges, in stock and ready to go

Garden Hose Water Softener Canister

http://www.glimmerglassdetailing.com/gahowasoca.html
Finally! An economical alternative to whole house filters! Tired of hard water spotting on your vehicle?! Disappointed in the lack of suds from your soap?! We have a solution and its right here in front of your eyes!

Water contains a laundry list of minerals, including calcium and magnesium, along with sediments, such as rust and sand, that are not filtered out by your local treatment plant and as a result, wind up at your house. If you have well water, then chances are, your situation is even worse! Hard water can literally ruin a vehicles finish. The water spots can etch into your clear coat and if left for extended periods of time, wont come out without professional (expensive) refinishing. Don't let this happen to you! This simple and economical solution will exponentially decrease the chances of hard water spotting and etching in your vehicle's surface. This will give you peace of mind and an improved wash experience! No enthusiast should be without this product!

Our basic garden-hose filter uses standard-sized filter cartridges and connects to standard 3/4" garden hose fittings. You'll need two hoses--one to provide an inlet and a second to deliver the water to its point of use. The adapters are included as well as a mounting bracket in case you'd like to hang the filter on a wall or the side of a garden cart.

Clear Garden Hose Filter (above) includes hose-adapter fittings (installed), filter wrench to assist in cartridge change, and mounting bracket (not shown). The clear version is handy with sediment cartridges especially, because it lets you see when the cartridge needs replacement without opening the vessel.

Please Note! : The filter does not come with a cartridge. Cartridges must be purchased separately.

Water Softening Cartridge

Want those water spots gone?! This is your answer! This softening cartridge will neutralize the calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions, making the water "slippery", therefore allowing the water to sheet off the vehicle easier. Dont let hard water ruin your vehicles finish. This is a simple, cost effective way to ensure a safer way to wash your vehicle. This cartridge is the perfect match with our Garden Hose Filter Canister.

Want to know the best part? Its reusable... indefinitely!!!

Here’s how:

Buy a bag of standard water softener salt. It usually costs about $5 for a fifty pound bag. It’s sold in feed stores, home stores, and large discount stores.

Pour a generous amount of softener salt into a large pan or bucket. We used a plastic dishpan for our experiment. Fill the pan with water until it covers the salt. But don’t overdo it. You want to make some very salty water.

Put your spent softening cartridge into the pan of salty water and let it sit at least overnight. (It won’t hurt it to stay there indefinitely, so you might just store it there between car washes.)

The salty water, brine, will dislodge the calcium (hardness) buildup on the resin and replace it with sodium. It won’t quite make the resin “as good as new” (not even a commercial water softener does that), but it will recharge the cartridge considerably, and you should be able to reuse it almost indefinitely.

You might consider buying a spare cartridge or two so that one can be recharged while another is in use.

The useful life between regenerations, of course, depends upon the hardness of your water.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The chart below expresses the theoretical performance capacity of our water softening cartridge. It assumes the standard 32,000 grain per cubic foot capacity of new cation softening resin. Figures for regenerated resin are lower.

The chart is for informational use only and is not a guarantee of performance. Actual performance can be influenced by a number of variables.

Cartridge Size - 2.5" X 9.75"

Actual Size of resin chamber - 2.75" X 7"

Cu. Inch Capacity - 41.75

Cu. Ft. Capacity - 0.024

Gallons of 7 Grains Per Gallon Water Treated - 105

Gallons of 15 Grains Per Gallon Water Treated - 45

Gallons of 40 Grains Per Gallon Water Treated - 15

i just bought a porter cable and been detailing some cars.

i wanna step it up a level and buy some really good products.

i think i'm gonna buy the mezerna polish,

i just bought all meguairs products and pretty happy w/ that but i want a little bit better.

wat kind of wax should i use instead of meguair's gold class?
and i think i need a sealant.

how do u clean the cutting, polishing, finishing pads?

plz let me know wat u think.
