I try not to post too many details of other models from the forum which I post on, but since this is one of my top 5 favorite cars, I just had to share

After one pass of M105 on a purple foamed wool @ ~1600rpm

Lets pull it in the sun and check it out

ahh, much better now

Brake dust is a thing of the past after some p21s wheel cleaner... bold n bright on the tires:

It got clearkotes carnauba moose wax on top of it all. Was kinda rushed at the end b/c I had to run to another job... who wound up cancelling on me anyway:Boo:

anyway....

Cool, nice work by the way. Would you recommend p21s wheel gel over megs wheel brightener?

Ive never actually used megs wheel brightener, but I have a guy who works w/ me who has, so I can certainly get his opinion on it vs the p21s for you.

PaPaHoFF, as I said, heres his answer:

"WB is super strong and is like night and day to P21S. cut WB 4:1. It contains hydrofloric acid."

And as you may know, p21s is a very mild cleaner. So depending on what you want/need, your choice would vary based on the condition of the wheels

Those two products are like night and day; neither is better or worse, they are just completely different. Wheel Brightener is almost undiluted hydrofluoric acid. It's probably the strongest wheel cleaner I've ever used, and I've used a lot. It is not safe on aluminum or chrome or matte wheels; it's pretty much mags and painted alloys only. As I am sure you know, where gloves and a mask. If anyone wants to know what hydrofluoric acid will do to your bones hit this link: http://fscimage.fishersci.com/msds/11171.htm . FWIW, like any tool I definitely think it has its uses, just be careful.

P21S wheel gel is a ph neutral wheel cleaner, it has no acid and isn't caustic, it's safe on all wheels. The cleaning power is about 1/1000th wheel brightener, but it still works well on wheels that won't tolerate acid/caustic cleaners.

very good info about the wheel cleaners everyone!

That DB9 looks as monstrous as ever! That blue is so classy. How do you like the m105? Another detailer said it is a bit hard to track, but he was working on light colors.

I like 105. It has a small learning curve, can gum up a little and likes to have a freshly spurred pad after each panel, but I love the short work time and results. I've used it on a purple foamed wool and orange pad via rotary and really dont have any complaints besides the dusting.

Luv your work. Can't locate any perfectionist and quality minded detailers in Houston metropolitan area.

Thanks hmmm, houston... I may know someone. I'll try to find out for you! And yes, I think about living in warmer climates ALL the time... just hard to leave this place. I actually like Jersey for some reason, lol. although AZ has been really tempting lately!
