Default Clear Coat Got On My Paint!

So my brother has a Honda civic and he took out his emblems to spray paint and clear coat the emblems. However he was doing it pretty close to my car, not that close, but as he was finishing up by clearcoating, when he sprayed it, the wind blew the clear coat to the front of my car next to my grills. and now the front looks like a piece a crap, but he tried to get napkin and tried to remove it but it smeared all over. What can i do to remove all this??

First try a wax or wax-cleaner. If that doesn't do it, you'll have to have the area clayed.

This works pretty good. I repainted the lower trim on my Trooper, everything was masked at least 24", paint was OK but the clear did aerate and overspray even with my HVLP gun. I will be sure to bag the vehicle next time!! Anyway, this product worked for me.
By the way, did your brother get out of the hospital yet??!

your worse case scenario is to wet sand. i'd avoid it though. Maybe you could try heating it up a bit and claying it

i would just use clay. the CG gray clay has never failed me when it comes to taking off overspray. if that doesn't work, try a more aggressive clay like the purple.

You can clay it with Clay Magic clay or any other claybar kit OTS. Just remember to keep the surface well lubricated with a quick detailer or car shampoo.

After you're done with the claybar, because the paint will be unprotected, don't forget to protect it with a sealant or wax. Then send your bill to your brother

Good luck.

Now that it's dry you might be able to remove it with some buffing compound (and a lot of work). Failing that, I believe it does look like a trip to the paint shop.
