Default Leather Seat Help...

I've had my IS250 for just a week or so over a year now and I have recently noticed that on my passenger seat, I have some bluish spots on the leather. I have read posts about blue jean transfer on the light interiors but as you can see in my picture, I have a dark interior. Also, the spots are just on the back of the seat not the bottom part of the seat where blue jeans would actually touch. Any ideas on what this could be and how to clean it?

This is as close to the seat as I could get without the picture being blurry...also, I have semi-annaline leather and I have taken a wet towel and tried to wipe the seat off but it didn't do anything... any suggestions?

It looks like the marks may be from your belt or belt loops. Is it just color or are the marks scuffs on the leather surface? If it's just color, the dealers have people who can clean this off the leather without damaging the surface.

it is just color, if you run your hand over the area, it doesn't feel any different from the rest of the seat...

thanks for your reply...

Default Update...

So I took my car into the dealer today to have some other stuff done and asked them to look at the seat. A couple hours later they call me back and tell me the car is done but I need to make another appointment because their leather guy wasn't available today and the seat needs to be re-dyed (that didn't sound to bad to me). I go to pick up my car and asked to make another appointment for the seat and they informed me that defects in leather ARE NOT covered by warranty (because Lexus gets it from a bunch of different sources) ...does this sound right? I looked through the warranty book and it mentions nothing about leather not being covered. Does anyone have any insight on this? I have another appointment on Wednesday for their guy to look at it and give me a quote, but I think something like this should be covered under warranty...

Thanks for your help...

Kevin
