Help!! Overspray on my car!!
Ok guys heres what happened.
The car was parked on some street. And ppl decided to paint a bumper or something close by. Paint molecules ( i guess) sprayed mist-like on the whole car, body and glass is now white(very tiny tiny spots across the whole car). The car is white so it doesn't show too badly.
What can I use to make this come off. Cause when i feel the car, its very rough and not soft like it used to be. Anybody here a detailer or knows what I can use??
I heard claybar, or paint thinner should be tryed....Any input would be great.
Thanks in advance!!

Clay bar first!
Might need to try an aggressive one (from Meguiars professional line)
Otherwise, a professional detailer should be able to remove the overspray with a machine buff.
I would NOT use paint thinner...

Generally, the claybar will remove any type of paint overspray. It would be my first choice of attack. Be sure to buy a good grade claybar and use plenty of lubrication. After things are all nice and smooth again, follow up with a good wax or sealant.

Yes. Clay can be used on any non-porous surface. Don't use it on any non-painted plastic, but anything painted/glass is fine.

Watch out for the Meguiar Clay, it will stick and streak. I use brand P&S that the local paint store here has. Its a bit cheaper than 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Cleaner Clay and works very good. Ive use several brands and always regreat buying the Meguiar. Dont get me wrong, Im a meguires guy, my trunk and garage is full of their producs. The only thing I dont like is their clay for the sticking streakieness of it. I would have to come back with the P&S clay and remove the crud left by the meguires. I hear thet the Mothers clay works well also. It will take you a while to clay your car, follow the instructions or you can damage the paint. Ive done four cars so far to remove paint overspray. Just keep it lubed up and youll feel when it stops grabbing. And kneed the clay often.
Hope this helps

New Technology the "Clay Block"
New Technology it's called the Clay Block from the Chemical Guys. Same results as the typical Clay Bar, easier to use and lasts longer.

The clayblock is just an elasctic polymer (synthetic clay), stretched over a foam block. Yes, its something new, and its said to last longer. But, in my experience with it (8 cars), it does retain the particles in the clay and I'm not sure if it can be harmful to the paint. With normal clay, you can knead it to get a clean bar, but you can't with the clayblock.
My other observation is that it is not as aggressive as a claybar. Will not clean as good as the real thing. So, overall, its good. But I would recommend the real thing, a clay bar.

I have used the Clay Block on 15 cars before I decided to replace it. It is important to use the "Luber" that comes with the Clay Block. It has more of a lubricating action than the typical Detail Sprays. The more aggressive action of the Clay Block might have been due to the lack of enough "Luber" or by using a Detail Spray. To clean the Clay Block surface; spray a little "Luber" on the "Clay" surface and wipe across a clean Microfiber Towel. This will remove any contaminants that the "Clay" surface has picked up. This is a lot quicker than folding a Clay Bar over and flatting out again, plus a cleaner Clay surface will be more likely to have less contamination transfer to the painted surface.
