I wouldn't pay anyone to do this, you can do it yourself. Plus your going to have to do this again depending on how long you keep the car.

used other product but pretty much the same, after a month or so, it starts to get "yellow" again.
I didn't do the sanding though.

Use some of that 50 bucks towards the products and do it on your own.

It works pretty well if you have patients, I just did that today on my GS. I noticed a bigger difference if you use a Foam app instead of the microfiber app. Foam app seemed like it worked into the light more and it polished out the yellow. Its not suppose to protect it, I threw some wax on there to protect for a bit, but you just have to repolish with the Plastx the next time you wash the car.

Keep polishing it isn't a good solution, because the plastic housing will be slowly removed and there'll be no more plastic left. Polishing compound actually removes the material.

Default what did i do wrong ... Help

I just got done with sanding w/2000 grit paper and headlight was very dull and hazy. I then applied plasti x and it got slightly better but not 100% so i used wax to see if that would help but very little difference. My head lights still look dull . I didn't use a orbital buffer is that what iam missing or did i just mess up my headlights.. I need some advice before i go out and buy a buffer. Thanks

You could try this kit. It works with a drill so it is better than trying to polish out the haze by hand.

That said, I'll be the first to recommend a good dual action buffer. I purchased my PC in March, 1995 and it has been the best tool for automotive detailing I've ever owned. After 15 years of heavy use it still works like new.

Default Finally Clear....

So for those of you stuck in the foggy hazy stage after sanding and cant figure out how to get rid of the cloudy dingy look. I was stuck in this stage my self until i went to Auto Zone and bought an inexpensive orbital buffer for $24.99 and after about 5min of buffing with plastix i finally started to see nice clear lenses. I had thought i messed up my headlights and had to buy new ones, but after some hard work and not giving up it payed off. I would had never done it with out the buffer for those of you trying to polish by hand as i was doing.

Usually it looks OK for few weeks and starts yellowing again ,no matter what wax you or polish you use . This is only a temporary fix.

All polycarbonate lenses are clearcoated from the factory and if the clearcoat is not there, the plastic will deteriorate . This is why I don't even waste time with polishing, I sand the lenses down and apply automotive grade clearcoat with UV block,
