I use Meguiar's #40 and have for many years. It works very well and is $10.

Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner is a complex formula that cleans, penetrates and rejuvenates vinyl and rubber surfaces. Durable protection that screens out damaging UV rays. Restores life and color. Leaves a rich, natural sheen, unlike the shiny synthetic coating of simple protectants.
Here is what the trim looks like on my 16 year old MR2.

Here's some useful info on seals and rubber care. My seals need some work after the winter, never tried the Meguiars #40, if after 16 years your MR2 rubber seals look like that, I might have to consider.

They introduced a new QD yesterday. Kind of reminds me of RainX for paint.

Ultimate Quik Detailer

Here is a short video demo of the product in action.

FWIW, Meguiar's has updated their on-line forum yesterday. Those who join will automatically be entered to win a bottle of this QD.

You know that the quick detailer is mostly water. It actually doesn;t provide much UV protection, but only used to remove dust from the car.

Try the Nanowax guick spray or the Pinnacle spray wax.. The pinnacle is mostly carnuba wax i think.. i can see how the mcquires can be mostly water.. Its very clear compared to the pinnacle and Nanowax spray..

Link to facts please. Since this Meguiar's Ultimate QD is a new product, not even shipping until May 14th, I assume you have no experience with it.

I have been using this Zymol Seal product and it works great.

After the application, the rubber seal looks very moist and soft. On Zymol's web site, it mentions that after the application, the rubber looks like a dog's nose and it is quite true.

You only need a few drops of the product for one single application as it is very concentrated. It smells like candy and is very sticky. And it is colorless.

The tips is -- don't put too much or you will have a mess to clean up.

So $28 seems to be high but you only use a little of it and it goes a long way. I have bought the bottle at least 5 years ago and the bottle is almost full.

Note that this product is specifically made for rubber seals and is not suitable for plastic or vinyl. Zymol has product called Vinyl for vinyl dash. I mainly use Zymol Seal for rubber seals around the doors and the trunk, where flexibility of rubber is appreciated.

Hope it helps.

...bought a bottle of Meguiars #40 and i loved the results. I'm just waiting for some rain to judge the durability of it. But for a first try, easy on with a wedge piece of foam, it was great. I have also used and still use 303, but it seems the #40 kept the rubber and trim a little darker. will update on the durability...
