Question People with clear bra . . . what kind???

Just trying to get a feel for how many people are sticking with 3M clear bras or going with something different such as ClearShield or something else.

I think mine was done in Premier Mobile Group. (I gave it to a budy who works in a shop, and they farm-out the job)

Materialwise, I notice the film used by Premier Mobile Group is thicker than my friend's one which was done in dealer (ZipCode 95014). I am sure dealer farm-out their work also.

I don't know about the quality from AeroTect, but I am 95% satisfied with Premier. I guess there is nothing perfect, but I saw Premier Group would remove body parts in order to get the perfect wrap around.

A example pic from PremierGroup

Premier is the first choice in NorCal . Last time I was there, I saw a Carrera GT with FULL/100% clear bra over the body. I asked about the price and it was... more than $10K. Believe it or not (I telling you that I am not crazy to have Endless for my 2IS)! I saw the only place was not coverd was the metal mesh over the engine in the rear and the exhaust pipes.

Bottom line is, material matters a lot but you have no choice because limited service provided in your area. I don't think think AeroTect or Premier will change their material if can supply your own, and NEVER THINK ABOUT BUY THOSE EBAY KIT and DIY at home or give it to some window tint shops...!

I believe Aerotect is a regional installer/distrubutor of Xpel (which uses 3M).

Since Aerotect has been working with aircraft for quite some time, they use a wide array of 3M Aerospace and Automotive films. They also use Venture Tape automotive films as well. Any company can install clear bra on any kind of car whether it's a econobox to an exotic. Pictures on a website aren't everything. Don't let that fool you.

I highly recommend Aerotect as they are the first choice of our moderators and admin team here on Club Lexus and definitely your first and only stop if you live in Southern California. They are one of our preferred vendors for a reason as they stand behind the quality of their work.

Come check out our meet at Aerotect next month at their facilities in Pomona. The best part is that you will get to meet a large number of your local ClubLexus buddies and there will be FREE BBQ!

AEROTECT OPEN HOUSE BBQ SUNDAY, JULY 16th!!!!

Xpel is a distributor of many types of clear bras, as far as I know they don't have thier own brand. I know this, because they are based out of San Antonio and i'll be taking thier class on applications very soon.

Oh, and I have the Venture on my IS.

That is correct. XPel sells kits using 3M film and they have the pattern arrangements for almost every make and model. Xpel also sells the program to plot the kits to independent distributors/installers.

Aerotect is an authorized XPel distributor as well.

Im just asking because it seems the only cheaper purchase and install ($300-400) uses ClearShield or whatever . . . where as both places that use 3M is asking $750. I just want to make sure I get a quality kit . . . i guess even if it costs that much.

I just had a Llumar clear bra installed - working wonders vs the central florida bugfest that our roads are, they just come right off.

But the 3M is good stuff as well, almost went with it but I've been happy with Llumar products in the past so I decided to stick with them.
