Default '04 ES330 interior odor

I just bought an '04 from a local Lexus dealer with 13k miles on it, she's in great shape but there's a musty type odor in the cabin that a good cleaning didn't take care of. Any suggestions, it's not
overpowering but its annoying to put up with? Thank you, Bob in NE Penna.

About the only thing you can do yourself is to try some of the odor eliminators, One of the better ones that kills microbial growth (where the smell is most likely emanating from) is Kids & Pets Brand Stain and Odor Eliminator, here's a link;

That aside, you can have it professionally treated via an ozone generator. They are used to fog the entire passenger compartment with activated oxygen, and it permeates all fabric/ cloth and even the foam in the seats. This is for really hard care stuff when nothing else works, and should cost $75-$100 generally.

Some places even rent them. They have some dangers though so I advise you to leave it to a pro.

There are a ton of odor eliminators on the market, from Febreeze to Ozium, and they *may* or may not work. Most will only help temporarily. The Kids & Pets product is equal to or better than most of them, and comes highly recommended by other professionals as well as myself, because it works on the bacterial level. You have to kill the source of the smell otherwise it will persist. Good luck.

Default Interior odor

Thank you Dan, I've stopped in the local dealer who sprayed the ducts and filter so we'll see how he did. If not, I'll pursue your suggestions. Bob

FYI, from another thread : I use the Zaino leather products - they're the best.
