I've been having this problem for a while and can't figure it out. Under acceleration (usually hits at 4k rpm) the headlights will turn on and off, sometimes multiple times. There are times when the radio turns off and on at the same time and times when the whole car dies and comes back.

I've checked what I believed to be all of the grounds, cleaned and tightened. Does anyone know how many grounds there actually are on the wiring harness (inside the engine bay).

I didn't think this would be an alternator problem but I don't have much experience with them.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

 

remove clamps from battery and open the ends where the wire is, take a peek.

 

Open the end of the pos/neg wires where the clamps are?

You can still see if it is GREEN in there. The likely hood of that being the issue depends on the cars history, but it was an issue for me personally about 4 years ago. Everything was PERFECT except that damn hidden spot inside the clamps.
